Ephraim is the tribe associated with the Hebrew month Tishri. One of the most important elements of the garden is found in Ephraim: the threshing floor. At the center of the Prayer Garden, the threshing floor is circular to represent completion – also a marker of Tishri – when you come full circle. Tishri is also a time for wheat harvest, another reason that the threshing floor is in Ephraim.
