The Tribe of Naphtali

Naphtali is represented by the family of deer that stands on a mound of stone.

Naphtali is the tribe associated with the Hebrew month Adar. Naphtali was the sixth son of Jacob. In Genesis, Jacob’s last words to his son, Naphtali were “Naphtali is a deer let loose; He uses beautiful words.” Naphtali was to be agile and nimble. Because of this, Naphtali is represented by the family of deer that stands on a mound of stone.
